Lean Competition Showcases Excellence; Quality-Driven Enterprises Usher in a New Journey.

To comprehensively enhance employees’ quality awareness and deeply implement the principles of lean management, Zhejiang Dongxin New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. successfully held the first Lean Management Quality Knowledge Competition for 2025 on November 25. Jointly organized by the Human Resources Department and the Quality Department, with support from the Technical Department and all workshops, this competition aims to foster a strong atmosphere in which “everyone cares about quality and everyone values quality” through learning driven by competition and applying knowledge gained through learning.

Dongxin New Materials Successfully Held Its First Lean Management and Quality Knowledge Competition.

To comprehensively enhance employees’ quality awareness and deeply implement the principles of lean management, Zhejiang Dongxin New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. successfully held the first Lean Management Quality Knowledge Competition for 2025 on November 25. Jointly organized by the Human Resources Department and the Quality Department, with support from the Technical Department and all workshops, this competition aims to foster a strong atmosphere in which “everyone cares about quality and everyone values quality” through learning driven by competition and applying what is learned in practice.

01 The competition was spectacular and full of exciting highlights.

Competition Introduction

This knowledge competition attracted numerous elite teams from various departments across the company, and the atmosphere at the competition venue was both lively and intense. The event consisted of several rounds, including “Showing Off Your Skills” (mandatory questions), “Racing Against Time” (speed-answer questions), and “Sharp Eyes” (practical operation questions)—three major segments that comprehensively assessed the participating teams’ depth of knowledge, adaptability, and practical operational skills.

Showing initial brilliance

During the mandatory-question round, each participating team demonstrated a solid foundation of quality management knowledge. Each team selected a set of questions, and every team member answered three questions. Five points were awarded for each correct answer, while no points were given for incorrect answers. This round not only tested the contestants’ individual knowledge but also highlighted the importance of teamwork.

Compete against time.

The buzzer-round competition took the atmosphere of the contest to an even higher level. As soon as the host announced “Start,” each team quickly pressed their buzzer, racing against the clock to seize the opportunity to answer questions. Correct answers earned 10 points, while incorrect answers or answers given after the time limit resulted in a deduction of 5 points. This rule made the competition even more intense and full of unpredictable twists and turns. With their quick thinking and extensive knowledge, the contestants engaged in a fierce battle of wits.

Sharp-Eyed Competition

The hands-on segment, with its unique assessment format and intense competitive atmosphere, has become one of the highlights of this event. In this segment, participants simulate real production scenarios and are tasked with meticulously examining eight carefully designed images to identify potential issues. Team members engage in lively discussions, pooling their collective wisdom and leaving no possible problem overlooked. The atmosphere at the scene was both tense and enthusiastic, as each team demonstrated remarkable focus and a strong spirit of teamwork.

The "Pass the Flower While Drumming" COMPETITION, in addition to its intense competitive segments, also featured an interactive "Pass the Flower While Drumming" segment. Vice President Li Haizhong stood with his back to the contestants and beat the drum, while everyone passed around a flower. When the drumming stopped, the person holding the flower at that moment was declared the lucky winner and could earn a gift by answering a simple question. This segment not only added fun to the event but also made the atmosphere at the scene even more lively. 2

02 A moment of honor, sharing joy.
The first Lean Management Quality Knowledge Competition has successfully come to a close after several rounds of intense and exciting contests. Each participating team demonstrated their solid professional knowledge, outstanding adaptability, and close teamwork, engaging in fierce competition throughout the event. Ultimately, based on their cumulative scores, the first, second, and third prizes—as well as the Excellence Award—were awarded. At the award ceremony, company leaders personally presented the awards to the winning teams and extended warm congratulations and high praise for their exceptional performances. All the contestants were especially delighted to receive their rewards. They unanimously expressed that this competition not only enriched their knowledge and brought them honor but also allowed them to deeply appreciate the power of teamwork and the company’s care and support. Moving forward, they will continue to diligently study quality management knowledge, actively participate in the company’s lean management practices, and contribute their utmost efforts to the company’s sustained development and transformation and upgrading.

In his closing remarks at the competition, Vice President of Production Li Haizhong emphasized that quality is the lifeblood of an enterprise, and lean management is the cornerstone for its sustained development. This knowledge competition was not only a successful cultural event but also a profound lesson in quality education. We hope that all employees will take this competition as a new starting point, effectively apply what they have learned and reflected upon to their daily work, continuously strive for improvement, pursue excellence, and collectively contribute to enhancing Dongxin New Materials’ core competitiveness.

The successful holding of this Lean Management Knowledge Competition effectively assessed the employees’ level of quality knowledge, strengthened team cohesion, further solidified the company’s quality culture foundation, and injected strong momentum into the achievement of the company’s quality goals for 2025.
